Project Title: Quick Medical Service

Introduction:

Sickness is a reality of life. But proper and dependable medical care can reduce a lot of hassle for the patient. In Bangladesh there are about 150 million people but patient to doctor ratio is 4000: 1. So there exists a huge pressure in government and private medicals. As a result usually fast medical care or patient redirection often not possible and finding the appropriate doctor becomes delayed. In emergency situation this delays can be fatal. Moreover many doctors have private practices of their own where the appointment system is done over the phone or face to face which is also a time consuming process .In this age of digitalization these process can be made very smooth with available technologies.

So our project is targeting to bring the medical care seekers and care givers in a common platform. That way the administrative delays can be reduced and faster treatment will be possible. People needing medical assistance will be able to search for doctors or hospitals based on different criteria such as distance from patient’s location, availability, emergency level, costs etc. Moreover there will be a ranking system for the results. So patient can get an idea of health care provided by that doctor or hospital. Besides patient will be able to make appointment with a doctor online so it will reduce a lot of waiting time.

Scope:

The scope of our project will be bounded within the health sector of Bangladesh. People who need health care will search for reliable medical services and make appointments with their preferred doctors. So, they will be primary users of our system. Besides doctors having private practice will be able to synchronize their appointment schedules through our systems so that patients can easily make appointment with doctors. That is private medical service providers will be a vital stakeholder in our system.

Overview of the System:

In this section, we will describe the actors, use cases, business pourpos and features for the quick medical system that we intend to develop.

Registered user:

User, who is registered in this system to get medical information based on their choice, will be treated as registered user. They can update their profile and choose different fields of health topic to get medical information. Any update information or health tips will go at their account by the system based on their criteria. They also can search doctors in various ways (like: doctor’s specialists, fees, locations and so on).

Un-registered user:

User, who is not member of this system, will be treated as unregistered user. They can search doctors in various ways (like: doctor’s specialists, fees, locations and so on).

Doctors:

The users will send request to admin through web site. If admin permit, then he get passward and can access this app through mobile. They can update their profile and put specific degree according his medical service. They also can see the profile and demand of registered users.

Admin:

They are the super-user of this system who controls the whole system. They can include doctors or Health care center (Hospital) to the system and update this information. They access system through a web application.

Use cases of the system:

1. Account Creation: Unregistered users and Doctors are the actor of this case. There are two types of account. I) Registered users and ii) Doctor.

After providing necessary information to the system, an account of the requested type will be created.

2. Searching medical center: An unregistered user, registered users and the system are the actor of this case. They can find nearest medical center from his location.

3. Searching Doctors: An unregistered user, registered users and the system are the actor of this case. They can search doctors according to their necessary treatment. They can see profile information of doctors, appointment time, fees and so on.

4. Providing Health tips: A Registered user and the system are the actor of this case. They get update information or health tips at their account based on their criteria.

5. Maintaining Health care center list: Admin and the system are the actor of this case. Admin can add, update or delete health care center (or Hospital) list.

6. Appointment information creation: A doctor and the system are the actor of this case. The doctor can create and update appointment information to be used by the system to create and update.

7. Appointment creation: An unregistered user, registered users and the system are the actor of this case. The user ensures an appointment to consult with a specific doctor.

Business pourpos: This app is free to patient. But doctors must pay to be a member. The payment method is handled in web site.
